  • The Problem with Iraqi Foreign Banks

Are you one of those that are having heard of the investment opportunity in the Iraqi dinar and you are already concluding plans to enter into the Iraqi dinar investment? Have you already made your investment and you are now consistently watching the news for information on how things are moving with your investment in the Iraqi dinar? You will then do well to hear this very important news. The out come of this will of course determine how well your investment turns out or how otherwise you will end up in your bid to make some profit from the Iraqi dinar investment.

There are present situation with the operation of foreign banks in Iraq and the situation is not so rosy. This particular situation is of course having its own very negative impact on how the financial system n Iraq is developing. If care is not taken, the Iraqi financial system will remain in its perpetual low state and this will not help matters as far as the Iraqi dinar and the Iraqi economy are concerned. This means that Iraqis will have to still continue to live with the not so wonderful standard of living and the unpleasant high cost of living that they are presently experiencing.

The problem we are referring to is the present lending that the foreign banks are carrying out. The lending by these banks is still very epileptic. It is like the foreign banks are holding tightly unto their money without the desire to lend it out to Iraqis who may want to set up one form of private business or the other. There is a strong feeler that if these foreign bans continue with this spate, the chances of the Iraqi economy growing may not be feasible for some time to come.

The governor of the Iraqi central bank Mr. Al-Shibibi said this while chatting with AFP that the hope of the Iraqi nation is that the foreign banks will play greater role in the development of the Iraqi financial system by lending money to individuals who may be willing to set up one form of business or the other in Iraq. He also used to opportunity to call on all these foreign banks that are presently operating in Iraq to change their attitude and help contribute their own quota to the highly needed development in the financial system of the Iraqi nation.

It is very clear that the Iraqi economy may not be able to grow as long as these foreign banks in Iraq continue this way. The failure of the Iraqi economy to grow will of course have its negative impact on the Iraqi dinar and the lives of all and sundry in the Iraqi nation since their standard of living will remain low and the cost of living will get higher. On the other side, Iraq dinar dealers will not be finding things especially funny. They will be on the road to losing their investment. This means that something drastic needs to be done on time.
