New Government Formation in Iraq.
Every investor in the Iraqi dinar should be able to sit back and give themselves some relaxation. The highly expected formation of the new Iraqi government has finally come to being. There is a very strong indication that the new government will be formed very soon. This news was made public by an official of the Sadrist Current while he was discussing with AKnews some days ago. He revealed that the political parties in Iraq; the Iraqi national alliance, the Al-Iraqiya and the Kurds parties have finally made up their minds to bring this long awaited formation of a new government to an end. This means that Iraqis can now breathe a sigh of relief after a very long waiting since the inconclusive situation that was experienced with the Iraqi general election for the choice of a new prime minister.
There are so many projects that would have had real positive and progressive impact on the Iraqi nation and the Iraqi people. These projects had been planned to bring about a kind of turn around to the situation of things as regards the Iraqi dinar, the Iraqi economy and the lives of all and sundry that are living in Iraq. One thing that had been preventing the take off of all these great plans is the absence of a substantive prime minister in the country.
Iraq did go to the polls in March 7 of this year. Several political parties participated in the electioneering process in a bid to elect the prime minister for the country. At the end of the day, two of the political parties were close to each other in terms of the number of votes that each of them were able to garner from the election. This means that none of them was able to win two third majority, which is what is required for a political party to be considered victorious in the elections.
Because of this somewhat stalemate situation, no prime minister was elected through the election process. Since March till now, there had been series of moves to bring a final solution to the happenings as far as the issue of prime minster is concerned in Iraq. Various foreign countries had intervened in an effort to make the Iraqi authority to speed up moves on the choice of a prime minister. Several calls were made on the political parties in Iraq to form a kind of unity government that will involve all the political parties that participated in the March 7 election for the choice of prime minister. It is as if the political parties have finally made up their minds about the situation on hand.
