Iraqi Political Impasse- Not Good for the Iraqi Dinar
The whole world seem to be waiting on Iraq to put its house together and form a unity government in the country so as to make its transition to a better living condition for its citizens something that will come to reality. From all parts of the world, calls are being made on the Iraqi government to get the needed reform that will help put things together again in the country. With the formation of the new government, it is a matter of time before the Iraq becomes a country to be reckoned with world wide.
There is a measure of disagreement on who should become the new head of the government in Iraq. This arose from the inconclusive outcome of the poll that the Iraqi populace went to in an attempt to elect a leader for the country. The whole thing came down to an effort in futility since no leader could be selected through the polls. The reason was because the number of votes gotten from the polls is not sufficient for the election of a new head of government.
Since then till now, several calls had been made on the political leaders in the country of Iraq to reach an agreement on the formation of a new government head. Several calls came in that were rejected by the Iraqi political blocs as being unacceptable. It is like the political blocs are totally against any reformation idea that will give any undue control to one particular political party above others.
The calls kept coming in anyway that Iraq should work towards reaching an agreement on who is to become the head of the government in the country and it can only be hoped that Iraq will take one of the suggestion proffered in an attempt to move the country forward among the community of countries around the world. The latest of these suggestions is the formation of a kind of unity government that will involve all the political blocs in the country. It is however left for the Iraqi government to either take up this suggestion or leave it.
While the delay continues on the part of these political parties, they will need to understand that their delay is causing a lot of challenges to the country. Several lives are being negatively affected, the economy of Iraq is in disarray and it is like things are actually getting worse for the country and its economy.
On the affected part are the various individuals and groups of people that had taken the risk to invest in the Iraqi dinar earlier and those who are hoping to make their investments in the Iraqi dinar. With this kind of situation, there is the fear of these investors loosing their investments to a governmental challenge that Iraq is presently facing. So many other things are being affected by the delay of these political blocs to form a unity government. It is only hoped that theses political bigwigs will know better than to drag the country into stagnancy.
