  • Iraqi economic conference in Kurdistan

    An Iraqi economic conference began today in Kurdistan with the participation of 200 traders and businessmen, chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the region said.

    “The one-day conference, held at the hall of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, will tackle the necessary measures to deal with the problems facing the chambers of commerce in Kurdistan,”

    Dara Jalil al-Khayat told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “The conference was organized in accordance to recommendations made by Kurdistan region Prime Minister Barham Saleh to identify problems facing the development of industry and commerce in the region,” he explained. “The conference will present recommendations to the council of ministers in the region,” he added. Arbil is 349 km north of Baghdad.
