Iraqi Dinar Revaluation-The Governments’ Role
It is a well known fact that the government of Iraq is planning to revaluate the Iraqi dinar. The purpose of this planned move by the Iraqi government is in an effort to give the Iraqi dinar a new lease of life in such a way that the currency will be able to regain some of its lost value. Once the Iraqi dinar is revaluated, the currency will surely be able to get its life back and it will be able to compete considerably with several other currencies world wide. This will surely give the Iraqi economy the needed boost and it will make life more meaningful for every Iraqi.
With all these possibilities, the Iraqi government will have a great deal of part to play to bring all of them to pass. It can be said that the possibility of the whole process depends entirely on the Iraqi government and its ability to take the chances that makes themselves available. The possibility is very clear enough, but the Iraqi government must play the key role in order to make it possible for the needed new life to be injected into the Iraqi dinar. Once the government takes the needed responsibility, it is just a question of time before the Iraqi dinar is able to regain its lost strength and receive the proffered new life.
One of the things the Iraqi government needs to do to bring the whole process of Iraqi dinar revaluation to reality is the formation of a new government in Iraq. The Iraqi nation is still unable to elect a new prime minister due to the inconclusive nature of the elections held in the country in March. Because of the inconclusive nature of the election, the new prime minister is yet to be elected and this is causing some level of delay in the operation of things in the country. So many governmental projects are left undone and the lives of Iraqis are negatively affected by this situation.
The outcome of the above is that the Iraqi dinar is presently in its derelict state and it will remain in that state if actions are not taken towards the resolution of the present political crisis that the Iraqi nation is facing. This is why Mr. al-Maliki, who is the present Iraqi prime minister, should take steps towards the formation of a national unity government in Iraq.
If the government can take the effort to get this done, it is just a matter of time before Iraq is able to get back on its foot as a country. The revaluation exercise will begin and will surely run smoothly; the Iraqi economy will surely benefit greatly from this and the living condition of Iraqis will improve a great deal. The improvement in the Iraqi economy will make it possible for the cost of living to drop while the standard of living will be greatly appreciated. This only means that investors in the Iraqi dinar will be able to cash in on the situation.
